Susan Nguyen
Hello everyone! My name is Susan and I graduated from SDSU with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Administration. It took me 5 years to complete my bachelor's because I changed my major, but everything fell into place during that year. I took some time off to work and now I am currently finishing my Master's Degree in Postsecondary Educational Leadership. I was very involved in college through the Vietnamese Student Association, Alpha Phi Omega (community service organization), Sophomore Surge Mentor Program, and worked as a student assistant for on-campus housing. I value mentorship because my mentors and femtors had a positive impact on my college experience. I hope to provide the same guidance to my mentees (and any student) so that they can have the best chance to be successful in college and beyond.
![]() 140 lbs: I saw a one-woman show last year called "140 LBS: How Beauty Killed My Mother". It was one of the best plays I have gone to and the artist's story really resonated with me; sharing about death, family, and beauty standards. | ![]() Women of WACUHO: I helped execute a one-day conference for women in our Western Housing Association to network and put on presentations. | ![]() Aztec Core Winter Retreat: I got to participate as a facilitator and group leader for this past January's Aztec Core Retreat. I highly recommend everyone to apply and attend! |
