Bao Lam
My name is Bao Tan Lam. My pronouns are he/him/his and I also identified as part of the LGBTQIA+ community. I graduated from The Preuss School UCSD. I am a third-year Interdisciplinary Studies in Three Department — Criminal Justice, Political Science, and Sociology with a double minor in Leadership and Counseling and Social Change. I am a Public Information Assistant for EOP and also contribute by volunteering with RISE. I spend my time in the Guardian Scholars room or at the Center for Intercultural Relations(CIR). I have an emotional support dog, Paco. I love watching Grey’s Anatomy. I recently got a Nintendo Switch to play Animal Crossing with my cousin. This year I have the opportunity to be a SummerBridge Peer Mentor. Hopefully, in the future, I will be running for a state or congressional district in writing legislation that improves the POC community. I love talking about social issues that affect marginalized communities. I became a SOAR Mentor because I have encountered challenges and successes at my time here at SDSU. So, I want them to use my experiences as a tool in guiding through this journey. And hopefully, this will be our journey here at SDSU
